Exposure can be fine tuned separately for each
metering method by from +1 to –1 EV in steps of
1
/6 EV.
At the default setting of Off, exposure only locks when the AE-L/
AF-L button is pressed.
If On is selected, exposure will also lock
when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.

When calculating exposure, center-weighted metering assigns the
greatest weight to a circle in the center of the frame.
The diameter (φ)
of this circle can be set to 6, 8, 10, or 13 mm or to the average of the
